This is an incredible tale of courage and determination — the story of Umar Farooq, our Director of Investments and Portfolio Management at Dubai Holding Investments. Follow his journey as he reminisces about pivotal moments that have shaped his life, beginning with his childhood in Sargodha, a village in Pakistan. His drive to succeed eventually brought him to Dubai, where he faced the challenges of job hunting, weathered the financial crisis, and even walked between interviews on Sheikh Zayed Road in worn-out shoes. Umar's story is one that many of us can understand and relate to, and it serves as a reminder that with the right attitude and perseverance, we can overcome adversity and achieve our goals.
